47 Team Australia members with family and friends competed in the 2018 Hansa World and International Championships 11th -18th October in Hiroshima, Japan. With light and variable winds on all five days of the regatta conditions for the 191 sailors from 24 countries called for very careful and tactical sailing to complete the trapezoid course in the time.
By the end of day 4 the 52 fleet 303 doubles had completed eight races now being able to drop two worst races, 19 fleet 2.3 singles had completed 5 races and 43 fleet 303 singles and 34 fleet Liberty had completed 7 races so just one drop. So on the last day 303 doubles did not sail and were able to watch from the fully accessible tsunami wall, the three singles fleet got in two races in a fading wind.
